Course description:
Do you sometimes feel as if technology has more control over you than the other way around? Do you feel like you use technology so mindlessly that you are not even aware of how much it is negatively impacting your mental health, your productivity, your relationships? Or maybe the opposite, you are all too aware of the negative impacts but you are not sure how to break your unhealthy technology habits?
Technology blurs the lines between work and home life, now more than ever. We wear our technology, we carry our phones everywhere, we are always on, we are always connected and it’s impacting us in more ways than we realise.
If this sounds familiar to you, you might be suffering at the hands of technology-induced stress, or ‘technostress.’ Technostress can lead to negative outcomes such as decreased productivity, work-life conflict, lower job satisfaction, higher turnover and burnout, to name but a few.
